ABOUT
WashBucket is a catch-all, one-stop site that’s a quick and helpful resource for those who follow Washington state policy and politics. We’re non-partisan, so we don’t take editorial positions and we don’t endorse ballot initiatives or candidates. In the end, we think politics is interesting and fun, and we hope to impart that sense to our readers.
WashBucket showcases and connects readers to Washington state newspapers and other media outlets. Our goal is to highlight a reporter’s work by driving our site traffic to their original content using direct links. Given our comprehensive roundup format, readers see us as a convenience and a central clearinghouse.

Sarah Howard serves as Managing Publisher of WashBucket, which is published by REBEL, LLC, of Steilacoom, Washington, a family enterprise formed in 2007. Members of the family who contribute to the site share a deep interest in policy and governance along with backgrounds in journalism, politics and lobbying spanning two generations.

“The website is great information and a long time coming to have all this information in one location”
Our morning news roundup is published each day by 7:00 a.m. (Pacific) — with the exception of holidays and weekends. Each afternoon, WashBucket publishes “P.M. Postings,” which is a brief roundup of the top stories filed by media outlets after we published that morning.
Don’t forget to check out DayBook, our handy, time-saving calendar of events, and SideBar, our weekly column. Or, you can sign-up using the blue form located in the upper right-hand side of this page and we’ll send you WashBucket and DayBook via email each morning for FREE.
